Re: Whats it Weigh?

I'm really not sure, but I know it is more than a henweigh.

Re: Whats it Weigh?

Oh god! Please dont tell me another one is going to the crusher due to high metal prices. Seriously though I believe it would be between 3,000-3,500 pounds.

All I can say is when you start messing with the henweigh make sure not to use a dictate light...

Your tag on the driver side kick panel is the GVW, not the curb weight. I have a book that indicates the weights of each series of truck with the various engine, tranny, wheel base and bed styles...but it is not at my disposal right now. I will try to get ahold of it and post for your information and others that may want to know.

I have taken scrape metal to a yard near my shop and gotten an exact weight loaded and unloaded. That is the best way, if you have a scrape yard near. Those truck scales are accurate with 5-10 pounds.

Re: Whats it Weigh?

HELL NO its not going to the crusher. I've had this truck since I was 15 yrs old. I'm now 30. This was my 1st vehicle and it isn't going anywhere except to my son in about 25 yrs.

Re: Whats it Weigh?

Well right now it's sitting in the garage in pieces. Nothing but the cab and frame. Hopfully santa's gonna bring be some goodies so I can make some progress on it. Cab needs alot of work. I realize that I could probably get a cab in better condition, but somehow I don't fell like it would be the same truck.

Re: Whats it Weigh?

When you get it together take it by some truck scales drive up on and weigh it that would be the easiest.

my wife feels the same about our '66.
it was her late father's truck, she feels that if we replace doors, fenders, ect. then it isn't the same truck anymore.
