There are ads all over out there on these old trucks around $15,000 to $30,ooo. I don't know if any of them are getting it but it's wild.

if you have done a ground up restoration you might not think this is to bad, i literally have more than that in mine, with all of the receipts to prove it, and i think i have done great shopping on a lot of the parts i have bought... and mine still looks like a basket case, with a quality paint job and the other things i need i am 12000 from being done.... saying that i look at this truck and think if it is a quality job that is a fair price...my 2 cents

I have done a spreadsheet for my build and if you bought all the parts that are either on my truck or going on my truck and paid retail price on them (the price in LMC catalog, etc.) you'd spend 40K just in parts and supplies to build my truck not counting the original purchase price or labor. So 24,500 isn't out of line if it is truly a frame off and he did a good job and the paint is nice. Just add up body parts, vintage air, an engine/tranny (2500-5K easily if not a lot more) and you can see how you end up with 25K REALLY quickly.
Would you rather have a fully loaded 2009/10 for 40-50K or a totally rebuilt classic truck with nice A/C (vintage air) and all new parts for 25K??? If kept nice, the classic will be worth more in 10years...that 50K truck will be worth 10K max in 10 years...

All that being said he needs to post a link to build pictures and more finished pictures.

Re: CL find is this guy crazy

Looks pretty nice....if it were a fleetside and the economy was better he might have a shot at getting 24K for it.

Re: CL find is this guy crazy

You never get the money you put into a car! You may get lucky but rare. Forget the money spent in parts, think about the time and sweat you put into it alone. Anyone can buy a 2010 truck or car but not everyone can do a ground up on a classic! Just my opinion.

I've seen this truck. It looks show room,, like it just rolled off the line. You'd pay 30- 40 for a new one, this is new just old body style.
