Re: blower motor

You could pull the fuse, or better yet, disconnect the lead wire going to the motor.

Re: blower motor

i know what you mean about the blower. I've been working in and around my dash the last few days, you're right, it runs every time the key is on. Thinking about a simple toggle switch, make sure it's a high amp switch, to turn it off. I don't want to pull the fuse, getting caught in the rain, no ac, i may need the defroster/blower.

Re: blower motor

This old blower motor thread might help.

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...ghlight=blower

PilotJ had an easy fix.

“I had the same issue with my '79 ex-ac equipped c-20. There is a plug on the heater box under the hood that has a light blue, dark blue, brown, and yellow wire running to it. I just yanked the yellow wire and that just did away with the low speed. I still have medium and high-speed blower, but no low speed. Works out fine for me.”

Cant get cheaper then that! I'll have to look into that! That's funny that you found that. I did a search for Blower Motor and only came up with like 7 results and that was not one of them. Thanks!

Based on how much dust is in that area I highly doubt it has been taken out since it has been put in. but anything is possible, Thanks!

That is a good idea! thanks!

I was looking online because I was bored and I came across this! and it made me wonder if the relay could be broken?? or...? my truck does have "ac" but I took the belt off the pump because it didn't really work.

Re: blower motor

and umm IIRC the relay is shorted out yes it can cause a constant hot to your blower..
but i would still check and see to make dang sure that the doors are operating properly...
