Finally got my floor shifter from summit today, and a sweet B&M t-handle to set it off, i guess ill have to buy a digi-cam so yall can help me get it on

geez what I would do without this site....(Probably just junk my truck and blow it up

) 3 ON THE TREE NO MORE, HAHAHAHAHA

So happy to get rid of that peice of crap, the shifts were so long, i couldnt race anyone b/c they'd leave me sitting while i was tryin to throw it to 2nd. Geez maybe i can smoke that new stang around here now

You have a 454 with a 3 on the tree?

And run 9's in the 1/4 but can't beat a new stang.

I'm surprised that 454 didn't split that wimpy 3 speed wide open, or at least twist the input shaft off........Zoomy

The truck I'm putting the shifter in is a 72 c10 with a 350hp 283. Stock rear end and tranny

I guess ill update my thing now and put all my trucks, haha.

LOL, If i could stop spending money on these dang trucks i would buy a digital camera, bleh! Im gonna take some pics of all of them soon and do it the cheap way, so to wally world and ahve them put on a cd, haha

It has been about 8 months since I did mine. It's raining now soi I can't take any pictures of it, but from what I remember I had to remove 3 nuts form the tail shaft housing. 2 on the drivers side and the top on on passenger side. Once the bracket was on, I put the nuts back on.

I can't find the instruction sheet they had, but there is two ways they showed to do the assembly. I believe I had to use the second set of pictures to get mine to align up.

I didn't think it was real hard. been about 25 years since I did one. Getting the hole allignment in the floor and adjusting the shifting rods was the biggest pain.

Oh yeah. I tried to take a shortcut because I didn't think it would clear, but disconnect the speedometer cable at the tranny. It may not look like it, but it will clear...just barely... once you reassemble everything. If the rain lets up I'll try and get up to the shed and take some pictures and find the directions in case you need more info.

BTW...I love mine...world of difference over the column shifter.

Lets see if this will help. I couldn't find my instructiuons...but here is a couple shots that might help.

First one shows the mounting locations. the 2 on the drivers side and the 1 on the top passenger side.

Couple of point when mounting...this is what I meant by the two methods. the top arrow point to how the top bracket from the passenger side bolt shold look. It can be mounted under or on top the other bracket...On top is what we need. Otherway will cause the bracket to bend and shift funny (experience speaking...duh!)

The lower arrow shows how the two lower brackets should go. Aghain it can mount several ways. Make sure the look like this when assembles...again other wise snags.
