Another dash question

Ok I'm taking my dash out to install one that has the gauges in it, I know I will have to rewire it. I have taken the washer knob off and the headlight knob off, but the choke is another story. How do you get it off to take dash out. It is not functional I could cut it.

Re: Another dash question

There is a nut on the backside. Unhook from carb and pull out, Heres a link to gmc pauls site to rewire dash if you don't have it already.

I am South of Florence. Down Hwy. 469. Great to see some local folks on here.

Re: Another dash question

The Link to GMCPauls is great as I'm in the process of a cab swap.

Thanks!

Re: Another dash question

The choke knob screws onto the solid cable end and the keeper nut holds the entire assy. in place. Odd how every knob on the dash has a different type of connection, but they all make sense for their purpose.
