Looking good!
So, was the paint dead before you started? My '70 shorty K10's paint is pretty oxidized and even rusting through in the sunny spots, and it does shine up nice if I use a tough wax. I have been thinking about paying someone to professionally cleaning up the finish, never minding the brown spots from thin paint. If yours was similar to mine -the rust spots since I can't see that on yours. What kind of wax did you use? Did you use a power buffer, or was it all elbow grease? What size tires? Never mind, I see that they are 35's in your sig. Surprised how well they fit with a 4" lift.

It was painted as part of a frame up build early last year. I for the first time used wax / polish on it and was amazed by the look. I had only been using a duster to clean it before. Even better was how the rallys and glass polished up with wax.

Matt, off topic, but how do you like your mirrors? They look great, but do you find that small a mirror to be useful in a tall truck? I'm having issues with my mirrors. I want some West Coasts, but I'm having a hard time finding some that actually fit right. I want something period correct, so don't want to go with the later style.
I really want large, functional, fullsize mirrors, but I saw a set like yours recently and I'm really liking them. I just find a smaller mirror to be difficult to use on a taller truck, especially when backing up and parking, etc.

They are useless but look good as you stated. When I stripped the truck down it had the full size mirrors, and earlier in its life it had the huge ones so I had holes in my roof I had to fill in by the gutter. So it has had all (3) styles at one point or another. The good thing is my f-250 is there for towing my trailer so this one is just a pavement queen with no need to tow anything.
