It is simple. I am close to that as well into mine. The difference being, I know I can nor sell it for what I am in ro for. You get about 50 cents on the dollar,

I know of a guy that has over $110.000 in his truck. It was in Custom Classic Trucks in 2005. Here are a couple of pics of it at our show.

Simple, he did not do a thing to his truck. The restortion shop did it all. The truck was purchased with a TPI motor in it and some paint blemishes. He wanted to clean it up and took it to the shop. One thing led to another, the intake was sent of to be chromed and new heads were purchased (all through Street and Performance), the tranny was removed and polished, the suspension was bagged, the fuel tank is a stainless steel unit in the rear, the fuel filler is smoothed into the top of the bed, the seats are out of a 99 or later Silverado, the steering column is an aftermarket unit. The stereo is one that has the video screen in it and the amps and speakers are throughout the cab, the wheels and tires were ordered from Newstalgia as a complete set. The exhaust was built, then sent off to be jet coated for a good finish. The shop charges $45.00 an hour for labor and $65.00 and hour for paint booth work. The graphics on the truck cost $1800.00 for the guy to come in a do, which took a day. The bedsides and fenders were all replaced with new sheetmetal.

The grille is not $500.00, Summit sells them for $100.00 (Stull part number 4003P)

That would be my guess. I know it sounds crazy, but the last professional stereo I worked on with my brother had a total build of $125k. It was 8 months of work and $75k in labor costs alone.

It also won 15 straight first places, 7 best of shows and won IASCA Nationals the first year. So if you want to win, and you (or in this case, your parents) can afford it, oh well.

I would rather lose and have built it myself.

If you are refering to the chrome steel one that LMC sells...do yourself a favor and find a nice original outer grill, buy the billet insert and install it on your truck.

I have the LMC piece and it is a piece...of.....$#!%
The fit of the outer shell is horrendous and the "chrome" is not that great in quality. The ONLY reason I bought it is, I got a SMOKIN' Deal on it.
I do plan on finding a nice original outer and installing the insert in that, then the steel piece will become a decoration for the garage wall...maybe a cool picture frame.

AND you expect anyone else would have a better fitting unit. They are all made in another country (Taiwan, China, or other), probably every outlet gets them from the same place, so that is what is left for us to buy.
