How Many Yards Material to Re-Do Bucket Seats??

I'm recovering my low back bucket seats in black with the black and white houndstooth.

How many yards of the black and white houndstooth will I need??

Note -- I can't just buy the repop seat covers because I am not using the stock bucket seats

Thanks

On the black vinyl part, you will need enough length to have the round edges made if you don't want to have a seam on the edges. Who ever sews the covers will make the edges. This requires very little material, but the overall length will need to be known. Need more info on the hounds tooth amount. Look at the repro ones for pattern direction and then determine the pattern direction and width on the material you are using. This will determine the length you will need to buy.

It is 54 inches wide. So each yard is 54 inches by 36 inches.

Seems like 2 yards of hounds tooth should more than do it?

My upholstery gut had me get three yards for door panels and seats. So I am in agreement with you about two yards should work for just the seats.
