Smoking taillights - Write Up

Ok to smoke your taillight lenses or whatever lenses you want is real simple.

Items -
VHT Niteshade Pt# SP999 at O'Reilly's ($10.99 a can)
1500 and 2000 grit wet or dry sandpaper
Bowl of water and mild soap
Patience

First off clean off your lenses, after you take them off that is, be sure to use something lint free as lint is the enemy in this mod.

Then shoot a coat like so :

Then after letting the coat dry (~1hr is what I gave it) it's time to wet sand them, luckily these lenses fit in a good sized bowl so they'll stay wet. Some parts are harder to get then others but a nice even sand will do the trick. Then I let air dry and then cleaned up witha lint free cloth.

Pic :

After drying, time for coat 2, I relaized after I shot it 2 coats would be all I needed.

Now after that coats dries time for clear so it won't flake off.

I put 2 coats and here is the finished product :

Lighted and new led reverse bulbs :
