Has anybody? Halibrand Kidney Bean, Magcoat

Has anybody installed Halibrand Kidney Bean wheels either 5 or 6 lug in the Magcaot finish? Magcaot is not fully polished. These are similar to a crager wheel and a vintage Halibrand which I believe was called Bonneville spindel.

If so did you go with 16 or 17 and how wide? Photos please.

Thank you

That truck is the Early Classic Rodstoration truck. The wheels are 17x8 & 17x9.5 with 255/60/17 front & either 275/60/17 or 285/60/17 rear tires.

As far as I know, Halibrand is the ony manafacturer to offer a 6-lug version of the kidney bean wheel, but they are $$expensive$$. You could convert to 5 lug and use the American Racing Salt Flat wheel for less money.

Also, you don't want a spindle mounted wheel do you? You won't have any front brakes that way.

Thanks Bobby
Looks like sizes are unlimited. Looks like an equal mix of 6 lug and 5 lug wheels out there. I'm liking the spinner look. Make them look like the OLD RACE wheel that were spindle mounted.

I think that when Halibrand made these in the 1950(s) they were called Bonnieville Spindels and used NO LUG NUTS. Just a spindel mount.
