Original 67 C10 color

The original color code for my 67 C10 is 4553AD. Can anyone decipher this for me. The truck is grey with a white top and red interior now. It doesn't appear to be repainted, but it must have been. Any and all help is appreciated.

oleguy, 553 is the two tone code for 523 Silver poly and 526 Ivory.

Re: Original 67 C10 color

Thanks, that verifies the outside paint color. can you help with the inside? it is red, with no other color under it, everywhere, behind the gas tank and under the dash is RED. It appears to be original. (hard for me to imagine ordering this combination) Thanks again

From the Ditzler paint book. The numbers are Ditzler paint numbers, Not GM RPO codes.

Re: Original 67 C10 color

I have the 67 C10 my grandpaw bought new it's a built in Canada truck 250 3 speed SWB fleetside it is solid white on the outside and a redish orange inside. All the interior metal is red. Dash pad, vinyl door panels/arm rest, sun visors and seat are red along with the steering wheel/column and even the dash vents, and lap belts. It had the rubber floor mat. I think more than a few 67 got the two-tone inside/outside paint combination. Sounds like yours was silver outside and red inside.

Re: Original 67 C10 color

you bet that is original. someone else on the board has one the same color combination. Mine is red interior with a black exterior and a ivory roof. believe 67 was the only year you could get a different color interior from the main body color. could have been 68 too but unsure but that is factory 67 color combo.
