the Summer of 2013

It's been a while again, but I'm still out there doing the Old Truck thing. The Rescue Squad & I has been makin the round this summer, we have gone to 9 Car shows this summer, all with in about 45 miles of my home, and I did one in the GMC HHR.

It all Started on the 1st of June with the Malad Idaho Show, this was the long distance day, as Malad is about 45 miles north of me. The drive up was not too bad, the temp where cool and it was a nice drive.

22nd Annual Malad Classic Car & Bike Show.

On the way back home the truck started to run slow, so I stopped & swaped out the fuel filter.

While attending the Malad Show we heard about a Drag Night in Brigham City so we hit that show later that same day.

2nd Mugs an Banana Drag Night.

Yes that red 1950 One Ton has been following me around some, or was it me following him?

Re: the Summer of 2013

The next two shows I did were both in my Small Home Town of Honeyville, The First show was on June 29.

Next I did the 4th of July Parade in Honeyville.

Then they had a car show most of the day in the park, The Honeyville 4th of July Car Show.

Re: the Summer of 2013

Show number 5 was "Tremonton Days" put on by the Tremonton Fire Department. Again you'll notice that Red 1950 at the show too.

It was a Rainy day but that kept the temp cool & it didn't rail too much so it was a lot of fun anyway.

After Tremonton Came the one show I did with out the Rescue Squad, It was just too far to drive there in an old truck on a hot summer day. They call it "Under the Starts" but its held in the daylight??? I took the GMC HHR and showed it.

Re: the Summer of 2013

You really got around in that truck this summer. It's a great addition to any show, that's for sure. There have been fire apparatus pieces at some shows I went to,but no rescue squads.
I said I wasn't going to many shows this year, but I lied. I need to put my '67 together while my '72 is still a good driver.

Re: the Summer of 2013

The Big show of the year in My area is Peach Days, I didn't even make it around to all the cars before it was over. Lots of photos but not every thing that was there. They give out Awadrs and I won the Commercial Class.

They also have a Poker Run the night before the show, but this year I picked out a spot and just took Photos of the cars going by. I didn't take the Rescue Squad, instead I drove the HHR to the poker run.

Lots of Photos from peach Days:
The Rescue Squad.
The Trucks..
The Rat Rods.
Everything Else.
The Poker Run.

Re: the Summer of 2013

The weekend after Peach Days I took the Rescue Squad to the Willard Round-Up, were it won the Most Original award, which is a powder coated piston with a small plaque glued to it.

Re: the Summer of 2013

I know Summer is over by the snow on the mountains behind me, I did my last show for 2013 on Sunday, the "Choose Your Ride" show in Ogden Utah.

Which ride do you want to ride in if your have been out drinking, Cop Car, Ambulance, Tow Truck, Hearse, or Taxi?

My Rescue Squad with the Village Inn Mascot.
