Rear Brake ?

Have a 66.Changing to 5 lug.I know i need to use 71-72 drums.Do i need to use brake pads from the same years also?

I would assume you need the shoes that go with the drums, if I am understanding the question correctly. I'm not sure if they are the same from year to year, but my guess would be no.... are the backing plates the same?

The drums are the same size 11 x 2

You are doing a axle swap right?

If I remember correctly you just need to swap the drums. The other stock brake parts will work fine..

Yes moser axles eaton posi unit.I looked up thru napa and same brake shoe number for 71 and 72 chevy truck.

If the drums are the same size I don't see why it wouldn't work just fine with the old hardware/shoes.
