question about fuel tank - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I am looking for a gas tank to put under the bed of my '72 4x4 chevy truck. Mudder67 has a 31 gallon tank from an 85 or 86 blazer non fuel-injected under his pickup.

Long story short, what years did these 31 gallon tanks come on and did all blazers of these years have them or were they a special option? I am looking to get rid of the tank in my cab and put a larger tank under the bed and this is the best one I can find with the correct dimensions.

Also, anyone know where I can get one for fairly cheap? Thanks for all the help guys!
