Want to pick your brain, how can i

How can i flip the my tail gate handle to the inside without buying the flip kit from lmc and having to spend a pretty penny for it.
Is there any way of doing it at home in a low bidget?

if youre good cutting and welding im sure it could be done but ive never done it.. its prolly so labor intensive thats why they have the kits

I've done it. the hardest part is trying to bolt it up. i'm trying to remember how i done it. I'll try to look at it tommorrow and get some pics.
