Installing New Vent Window Seals?
Never done this before any suggestions? Its on my 85 I bougt new seals from LMC and no instructions .

I tried to install the same seals, and they looked terrible. I ended up going to the pick-a-part and getting a set of vent windows with good rubber. Sorry this might not help, but that is what I had to do. That being said, I spent the better part of an afternoon wrestling with one side.

Vent window seals
I went the easy route and purchased the whole vent window assemblies for both sides, was much easier than messing with the seals only. The cost was about $150 a side, got them from a local chevy trucks parts dealer here in Houston, but I know LMC sells them

Yeah I have eyeballed the entire assemblys but surely there is a trick to installing these seals? Id hate to think i wasted my money on something that cant be installed.

There's some sort of an instructions, even it's not for chevy pickup... But the window system is quite similar. |

Did it half a year ago.It's not that difficult. The only pain in the a.. is to get the seal into the metal frame.That will take at least an hour.And don't forget to lubricate the seal very well, otherwise it's impossible.
Also you need to remove the rivet from the hinge and order a new rivet. If you need some specific help,just pm me. Good luck.

I got a set of seals for my 74 c10. When I got out the vent window I found that to replace the seals you will have to grind out the rivets. This make it possible to install the seals. A small job that became a large job. I used pop rivet gun to replace rivets.

I have pop rivets if they will work .. If not where did you get the rivets from?

Pop rivets will work, but I got the original rivets from LMC.Just to keep things as original as possible.

... or the local Ace Hardware should have them, thats where i get all my rivets and odd parts/pieces
