This 69 belongs to a friend of mine in town. He tore it apart approximatly 17 years ago and now has the bug to finish by spring. Engine is 396, tranny m-21 4 spd, locker 3/4 ton rear.
Enjoy...

That's gonna be a dang cool ride when it's finished. Figured there'd be a supercharger under the dual quad carbs... now that's a highrise manifold. Sweeeeeet

too much stuff
It even has the rare inner grill for the 69 model.
This was a one year only item.
Am I correct in thinking that this is the one that is no longer available?

The inner grill is from a 70 and the only way you can get them now is used or NOS

I asked him about the grill and he bought most of the parts about 14 years ago from a gm dealer. Even the engine was built many years ago and not even started until recently.

Sweet lookin' ride! I'd try and loose the visor though. It would look so much better with out it. Nice color too!

This is the first time I ever saw someone tilt the sidemarkers, but I kind of like it. Makes the truck look a little more unique.

it looks like markers from a cutlass built in the early 70's. I can't remember if the big cars had them or not. BTW, here's a photo of them in the "normal" application
