did the early run of these trucks come with 348/409, i guess i don' t know why they wouldn't, i just have never seen it until today. whats a 61 gmc custom cab worth / 348ish and no box, not running i would guess....found it in a scrap yard, nice cab and windshield with chrome trim, thanks guys!

they only came in the big trucks.
I think c/60 and up.
also, most of the big trucks That I have seen with them were all deluxe... steering whel,chrome guages.
Regardless someday I want to put a 348-409 in my 65.....

BTW that gmc probably has a V6.. they look similar to a 348 ....

GOOD CALL! i cant count apparently, a v6 didnt even cross my mind, never thought to look......i was seeing gold between them there fenders ,thinking it might be a 409. nice cab...cant beat 75$ for it.

v6 motors have plugs between the valve covers and intake . if under than its a big block

Wow, that 409 has a pretty big air pump on it! Practically hides the engine.
