Mid to late '80s mazda pickup with a "king" cab.

I used to have a '93 4x4.

It looks like somebody thought it would be amusing to chop the bed, and shorten the driveline. Looks like a project gone bad.

Who are you talking to? Me for owning a '93?

I never would have picked that truck. It was one of my sore spots with my dad. I had an S10 '85 Blazer that had a blown engine. I was going to go shopping for a block when I had to go back to college. Behind my back he found this '93 mazda 4x4 brand new at the dealership and managed a trade-in. He managed to squeak 3500 out of my blazer, which left around 9k left. When I got home from college the blazer was gone and this truck was there.

I had seriously mixed feelings about it. Dad started telling me the canopy and other "modifications" he thought were essential were going to be done in a week or so to this new truck....that's when we had the first argument about it. Felt like his truck not mine....what happened to my blazer?

I should have told him to take it back and forget it, but who knows where the blazer ended up.

I drove it until '99 after buying it from dad. I started having serious problems with the driveline, and it would cost too much to fix.

I managed to squeak 6500 out of it for a trade-in for our new Jetta.

Cobalt,

I think he was asking if Emmett had bought the truck or left it in the junkyard.

I love my import 4x4, great mileage, dependable, in fact it has 157000mi. on the clock and runs like new. I have pulled out a few stuck full size trucks w/ my little 4 banger 4x. JMO of course

F*rd and Mazda are/were one and the same. I know the old F*ord courier and the Mazda mini truck were absolutly identcle, except you could get a wankin' wankel in the Mazda. Same thing with Chevy/GMC and Isusu. The luv and the p'up were the same truck, but you could get a diesel in the p'up a few years before the luv.
