retro-modding the tail lights?

I have a 67 GMC StepBed being restored and and want to change out the tail lights

to something smaller. If any of you folks have done this I sure would love to see some pics of

the style you changed to and what year and model of the vehicle you chose.

PLEASE AND THANK YOU !

Bolt on to the side or mounted to the fender? I wanted something that looked a little more permanent and a little less Jeep looking so I made buckets and mounted 48 Ford lights.

Re: retro-modding the tail lights?

I used the upper holes already in the bed sides and mounted '55-'59 tail lights without a reverse light.

Also removed the chains and installed hidden tail gate latches.

Re: retro-modding the tail lights?

I have mounted Model A and 40s-50s GM truck tail lamps and I drop them down to the bumper. Very clean, simple, not obviously altered, nothing to regret later.

W/bumper, but not lowered:

Re: retro-modding the tail lights?

They all look good..not out of place at all..
I had some mounted on the gate posts before i sent this thread..I have tried to send pics of them by following instructions but when it comes to "Browse" and I click on it, it pulls up pictures like it's suppose to but I cant find these..Is it possible to send an email of the pics to this forum?
