I posted this in the electrical section.

have a 67 pickup.

Restored but all the original wiring appears to be there.

When I start up the truck a get a dim alternator light (no gauge).

Then if I turn on the wipers, or the turn signal, or the heater blower, the light gets bright and none of the features operate.

Just replaced the following:

Starter switch

Alternator

Volt Regulator

Battery

I'm in Ashburn VA and just started a painless harness rewire yesterday. You should come over and check it out.

Thanks Richard.

I am trying work out the problem through the factory wiring and I am out of town this weekend starting Friday.

Once I get it under control, You may see cruising the Chick-Fillet at the Dulles Town Center or Burger King in Manassas.

Re: Electrical Help in Va. Or DC Metro

I stead of cash I have some parts I will trade for the service, But I will still pay for the service if the parts are not wanted:

All for 67 Chevy Short Fleetside

Complete 5 lug front end, Control arm to Control arm

5 lug trailing arm 12-bolt (ratio unknown)

Small Block Headers (used)

Wiper Cowl

Small Block Radiator Shrowd (new)

Steel pre bent break lines (new)

GM Steel tailgate

Have I peaked any interest?

Order a ground kit from one of the site vendors and install it yourself, really easy to do and shoulod correct your issues, plus it only cost about $20-25. Just my .02. Randy

Re: Electrical Help in Va. Or DC Metro

Wanted to thank everyone for their input.

Found the problem. My truck has a remote selonoid (bought from Summit) for the starter. It was bad/ cracked. Replaced it and now it works great!

Here is a pic of my truck:
