With no visible tailgate, it appears they have custom made the rear to be one solid panel. Then, cut in the taillight housing to fit. That's my rookie take on it.

The body lines are already there, so remove all the trim and weld up the holes. Adjust tailgate gaps to be as small as possible and weld shut. Bumper delete panel, pretty standard there. Now you just need a custom plexiglass lens.

I agree. There's no texture to the lens, so it's just plexiglass (or maybe an acrylic, like Lexan). Shape it and figure out how you want to attach it and you're done. However, it may not be street-legal in your state. Most states require a minimum reflective surface to the rear.

After you get the shape of the lens, drill holes to line up with the tail light housing. Then you can use screws to attach the lens. I would counter sink the screw holes, wet install counter sunk screws with clear silicone sealant , and paint the screw heads black. To counter sink the screw holes use a slightly oversized drill bit or dremil grinder at high speed.

That is how I would attempt this look, and it’s all hypothetical. I don’t have any experience with plexiglass/acrylic. I have done the counter sink screw thing though, that works perfectly.

I've worked with Plexiglas and Lexan extensively. I would use a bandsaw, if you have one. A jigsaw would work as well. As far as the countersink, you want to go slowly, rather than high speed. Plastics melt under high speed. Lexan and Plexiglas are soft enough that you can use a wood countersink bit with them.
