My drivers side window started to get difficult to roll up. It rolls down fine but is getting harder and harder to roll back up......nothing appears to be binding.....is this the window regulator causing this??? Thanks

Re: Window question......

take door panel off and spray the crap out of everything regulator tracks and lock linkage then get some white lube and put it on moving parts// after 40years it deservers at least that amount of minimal upkeep

Re: Window question......

i agree with cdowns clean and lube first when i put my doors back togather i had already done this ,driver side was great passenger side rolled down great and about 3/4 of the way up, then it started tilting forward and binding. off to the junkyard i went finding that several of them worked till a little bettter than halfway up then bound ,kept looking till i found one that worked smoothly all the way up , installed it and all is well

Re: Window question......

I agree with what's been said. but if you can get a wire brush in to the tracks before you lube it to clean it up, it would be a good idea. Remember that there's a track welded to the inside of the door panel above the opening. While you're in there, lubing the door mechanism is a good idea, too.

Re: Window question......

Same problem, mine are the regulators since lube didn't work too well.

Re: Window question......

Also, check the weather stripping that the window slides against (the one mounted in the backside of the vent window). Sometimes as it deteriorates, the felt bunches up in there causing the same problem.

Re: Window question......

If the roller's have come out of the tracks this will cause it to be hard to roll up. I had to get mine back into the track inside the door panel.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.
