Project '64 C-10 Truck - built in Germany
Hey,
this is my first '64 C-10 Truck project being built in Germany. I have to thank a few people who really help on this, especially Pat, Del and Nate. It is quite a hassle to get all these parts sent over here, ... and these poeple really help to make this happeining. C-10 will have a full PorterBuilt chassis Del´s 22" Centerline specials complete AccuAir Kit CCP drop spindles and 13“ disc brakes LS1 with 4L60E Porterbuilt gas tank Moser 9“ rear end with Detroit locker ididit steering column with Billet Specialties steerig wheel Autometer Gauges VintageAir AC AmericanAutoWire harness, ... I bought the truck from Texas, and it really has some great patina. I will just clear the paint with some CLR and than just get it either clear coted or polished. I want to keep the beautiful sun baked Texas patina on it. Truck arrived few weeks ago and today Pat and I drove it to my little garage. We started to work an it and get the front clip off the truck.... With the help of Pat we will dissaseble the complete chassis the next weeks and wait for the parts to arrive in Germany. Fabian |

Re: Project '64 C-10 Truck - built in Germany
We had some more time today to work on the truck and got quite a few things done ... I bought this new Milwaukee Tool and it was great fun and saved us a lot of hours!
Can not wait to get the all parts shipped to Germany and start building Nate´s dropkit in and all the other parts,... Very solid floors .. |

Re: Project '64 C-10 Truck - built in Germany
Can't Wait, I'm excited for you, we basically have the same truck and very similar ideas, only difference is I'm going for more of performance drive-ability and stance, rather than complete body drop. Waiting for Nate to finish up the coil-over drop-member and getting the 22's from Del with a different color, not black.

Re: Project '64 C-10 Truck - built in Germany
Next steps ...
Me and Pat have finished to take apart the truck and will start to work on the cab next. The floors are pretty solid, but still need some detailing and welding. I will get the wagon completly blasted from the insite, firewall and belly. After I will start working on the firewall and get it smoothend and cleaned and freshly painted. My truck is in tan, does anyone have the original color code for me? I will get the floors done also and than freshly paint the complete insite, I am not sure what color I will do the insite, if same as outsite or something else... once this is done I will lay out some dyno matts to get heat and noise out. Also the bed needs quite some detail as there are some bad dings insite and try to get this smoothend out as good as possible with not ruining the patina. Still a lot of work to be done and new things and ideas coming up .... Fabian |

Re: Project '64 C-10 Truck - built in Germany
Fabian,
Here are the 65 colors. So in 65 the color would be Fawn with Fawn-Metallic interior. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=471383 I think the 64 color chart is somewhere on the forum. Good looking project. TR
