Tire Selection

I'm putting my 72 swb, step-side, 4x4 back together. I'm doing a frame-up restoration.

I have a set of 15" x 10" wagon wheels and I nees suggestion on what tires I should use.

The truck is going back together at stock height. I'm not looking for huge tires but I don't want the weheel wells to look empty.

I was leaning toward a 31x10.5 or a 265, but I can't seem to tell which is the bigger tire. Are these tires wide enought to be put on a 10" rim?

Any suggestion would be welcome.

Thanks

31x10.5 and the 265 are about the same height. I would say neither are wide enough. I had 325/60R15 on my GMC when I bought it, rode good but the tire would catch, while flexing and turning, the front "fang" of the fender. The tire was equivalent to a 31x13.5 tire. 11" wide tread.

Both tires would look silly on a 10" wide wheel, unless you like the "ghetto cruiser" look...
