Chevy theme office/mancave

Finishing up on my mancave & thought I should share with my fellow Chevy nuts. My great grandpa was a Chevy dealer in our small town (pop. 3,000) from 1927-64. I decided to use his garage & my love for 67-72 Chevy trucks as my theme in my small 11'x11' office. The '72 nose was off a rusty Indiana truck which I painted grapefruit. I used a old pencil as a guide to recreate the signs. I also needed a way to display various items that were/are important to me which is where I came up with the garage door as a display case. The "end table" is a 307 that I've had for years. I will post up a few more pics- hope you enjoy

I was thinking about the 72 front stuff that is a really nice grille and bumper to be wall art. But use what you have. It looks great. I just wished I had as nice for my one ton. jim

Re: Chevy theme office/mancave

I bought the Chevrolet sales/service sign on eBay- the thermometer & arrow sign are old Jefferson garage items. I dedicated a corner of the display case to our trucks. I need a way to cover the rear of the engine so, I made a magazine rack for it. Lastly, I know it's a mopar thing but, I've always thought the Hurst pistol grip shifters were cool. I've had a handle for about 30 years trying to find a use for it. I think it finally found a home- on my lazy-boy. Not sure why my pics are different sizes- not very tech savvy.

Very nice ,love it all ,I would love to see how you did the motor coffee table as I have been planning to make one with the original 350 out of my wife's 72 Malibu vert .What size is the glass top and what did you use to hold the top.

The glass is 1/2x20x30- bought it online, around $110. It's held up by (4) 1/2" pipes with rubber cap on the ends.

Re: Chevy theme office/mancave

Definitely one of the best man caves I've seen. I see the marker lamps are working on the front but did you also make it so the headlights work?

Re: Chevy theme office/mancave

Thanks for the nice comments! The headlights don't work. The marker lights are LED. One nice thing about my room is that the ceiling is 9' tall- I can walk under the bumper- it's 76" off the floor.

Re: Chevy theme office/mancave

Nice work, maybe we could start a thread for garage and man cave pictures. I am almost done with my garage remodel. Still have a bar to make on rollers so I can use as a work bench and then turn into a bar for cocktail hour. Agan great work. I like the garage door display case.

How did you do the front end ? Cut everything and then mount to radiator support ?

Good idea on the garage & man cave thread- there is a thread called "pics of wall art" (too dumb to link to it). Your garage is very nice- I like your bar/workbench idea. Thanks for the positive comments!

I did the front back in May- I believe I bolted everything to the support & marked it then took it apart & cut it with an abrasive blade in my circular saw.
