There are a couple of ways that you can go on the verticle runs. You can buy the strips with the metal channel, drill out the rivets, remove the old one and rivet the new channel in place.
The felt is available, and to replace just the felt, you will need to strip out the old felt using a knife or screwdriver. Once you have the old felt out, you can glue the new felt into place. I use 3M trim adhesive. Either way you will want to pull the vent window assembly out of the door. Jim |

I replaced my vent window channel felts just last year and used the re-pop style replacement felts. Like a stiff rubber channel with the felt attached. They were like $10-12 at BowTie Bits in Wichita. Pulled, tore, scraped the old felts out and used a wire brush "tooth brush" to clean the channels after making sure all the old was gone and clean metal. I also used the 3M trim adhesive like mentioned in previous reply. Done it with the vent channels removed from the door. Truck was down for re-paint, made it easier. Now the vents look great and window slides and works better. Definetly a recommended re-furbish.
