Battery posts and wiring 1936-1942

Hi,

I'm interested to learn how the battery terminals looked like on GM vehicles and trucks in that era. Did they use a braided ground strap from the battery? Flat or round?
What about the positive terminal, was this a cloth covered wire? If so which color was it?
How did the battery terminals look like? The wire was soldered in or crimped?

Was there a color scheme generally adhered to? I what color wire was used for the head lights, which color wire was used for the position lights or turn signals?

I'm working on a special project and I want to get the little details right... 😁

Thanks for any advise. Pictures and sources for materials would be really welcome!
