want opinions and pics

I'm thinking about maybe taking my truck and putting a cab and chassis rear under it and putting some 19.5s on it and lowering it down some...I like the look of dually wheels, but I don't think a regular cab swb dually would look good with the fenders on the bed and the truck being so short...so I thought maybe get a cab and chassis rear and tuck the wheels up under the fleetside bed sides...just a thought...what do yall think...

Chuck.

Re: want opinions and pics

I'd rather shorten the axles and have all of the wheel/tire up under the bed...

Re: want opinions and pics

and then it'll fit up under the bed right? do you think I should just extend the wheel wells out like factory...I'd like to do this for the look, because I don't think I'll ever tow a fifth wheel trailer or anything, I don't even know if my 6.2 would tow it...I just thought it would be cool to see...

Re: want opinions and pics

see now if I could get the wheels under the bed like 2tons of fun said, then I'd be in business...I also think I'm going to put cab lights up on the roof whether I put drw axle under it or not...

Re: want opinions and pics

is shortening the housing and putting a shortside shaft in the longside doable by me or do I need to take it to a specialist?

Re: want opinions and pics

I have a good friend of mine that can weld it...is it just a matter of measuring the axle tube, welding it and then sliding a shortside shaft in there or does the shaft need to be shortened as well?
