hub centric?
i understand what the difference is between hub centric and lug centric wheels. my question is: if i have a 3in hub diameter and i buy wheels with a 4.25in center bore diameter, is it ok to run them without the center bore fitting on the hub? i know the hub is supposed to take the weight but can i get away with the lugs doing all the work like a lug centric wheel? i tried to search for an answer but keep getting conflicting info. the wheels are raceline 136 maxim 20x8.5 if anyone was wandering. the rotors are 6 lug ECE for the 71' and newer. thanks in advance.

Re: hub centric?
That is the exact definition of lug-centric....
Many aftermarket wheels are that way. It allows them to fit more vehicles with the same bolt-circle, but have different hub diameters.

Re: hub centric?
Ok thanks. Wheels are expensive to order the wrong stuff. Even if I can return them it's a pain in the butt.

Re: hub centric?
I think the key is to get lug nuts that are for those wheels.
