Transmission ID

I'm planning on getting a grate engine 350 and new tranny for my truck, question is the 350 is easy, but I have a TH400 and can't seem to figure out what one I need, tail stock wise..

Re: Transmission ID

The shaft lengths were 6 inch or 9 inch. you have what is called the short shaft 400. 400's have six retaining bolts holding the tail shaft housing on. the 350's have four. Jim
