Bolt size

I plan on switching out PO's headers to the original ram horns in a couple of months. I am collecting the parts that i need. My question is what size bolts am i going to need to mount them. I know they are 3/8 x 16 but what lengths do i need . I know the center ones are longer than the four outside bolts. I plan on using grade 8 bolts am i correct on that?

Re: Bolt size

I don't remember the lengths but you want 1 and a half time the bolt diameter to screw into the head. So about 1/2 to 9/16". Measure the manifold add 1/8 for an SAE flat washer not an USS and add the 9/16"

Re: Bolt size

You can get the original bolts at the salvage yard if you want the originals. Don't forget the heat shields & locking tabs.
