My POS Repop tank...should I repair or replace?
My C-20 has a tank that's leaking. Based on previous owner receipts, it was purchased in 2004 at Obsolete Chevy. No gas is leaking from the neck or float sensor. It appears when the tank is anywhere above 1/4 tank, I get some fuel residue along the bottom seam, drivers side. When less than 1/4 tank it's fine. This all started when I noticed a strong fuel smell in the cab (and no, I don't ever top off the tank). I thought about getting a new tank, but I hear most are junk and likely to leak. I thought my best bet (besides relocating it of course) would be to pull it and have it sealed. Any thoughts? I plan to relocate the tank at some point, but not now. Should I have it sealed (e.g. - Tank Re Nu) or buy another repop tank and risk another poorly manufactured tank?

If the tank is that new, POR 15 would be a good easy fix. It will also help protect it from future rusting. Jerry
