I don't know bout the older trucks but I have a new HD with the 8.1L and it will eat HEMI'S for breakfast, lunch and dinner. If they are stock they are slow I hope someone sides with me on this. Something to do with there tranny eating up alot power. Now relize this is stock for stock...Later Mike

And the SS has a proclaimed 345 HP which really aint that much more than the HD's 6.0L. Put a custom tune on it (nelson's or wester's) and you have made up the difference. I love the new generation Small Block Chevy's...Later Mike

I don't know how much this helps, but I owned an 04' Nissan Titan and it was supposed to take a Hemi, and now that I own a 99 Z-71, I can tell you that the Titan was'nt all that much faster than the Chevy, so i'd say go for it. In a case as close as this it will mostly depend on drivers skills anyways

First of all, what motor do you even have in you Z71?Second,you have till spring.Slip a pumped-up rat into your`69 short step and drop his Hemi-Hugger jaw. Then put your`99 up against any`99 Dawje and beat it.
