Will these seats fit in my 70 Blazer?
I am looking to upgrade to these seat and reinforce the floors, etc, but was wondering if they will fit because the owner said they were too big for his 72 pickup truck (not sure if he owns another brand truck besides a Chevy), but I think they will fit mine based on what others have posted on the board that look similiar to these seats. If anyone could tell me what year these are from, that would be great too. Lastly , they are both powered and was wondering how difficult they are to hookup in a non-powered Blazer like I have. Thanks for any help on this matter - Jim |

Not sure what they are from. They look to be a GM seat. I'd say its just a matter of you fabbing up some brackets then running a hot and a ground to the power on the seats. Good Luck....

They are from a 2000 and up GM truck/Tahoe/Suburban. There are lots of good threads discussing how to mount the seats safely. I would suggest doing a search you will find lots of info.

Re: Will these seats fit in my 70 Blazer?
Jim,
yes, you can make them fit. i know this for a fact since i did it on my 1970 Blazer. I took out the old seats and replaced them with similar seats like the ones you have. I replaced them with seats from a 2005 Dodge Hemi...not a big fan of Dodge but those buckets seats are great. They are fully powered seats and i love them. The only thing you have to do in order for you to fit them in is to fabricate a new bracket since the original bracket will NOT bolt on. If you can't fab a new bracket then you'd have to take them to someone who could do it for you, otherwise you bought yourself a new seats that you can use to sit on in your garage while taking a beer brake from working on your Blazer! i hope this helps |

.
Can they fabricate the passenger seat so that it still moves up so that someone can get in the back? or is there another way of doing this because of the new seat? |

No, that's the downside about the Hemi seats that i have. You might be able to come up with something creative to make it work, but i never designed it before. i planed on keeping it empty with no seats in the truck bed area.

Re: Will these seats fit in my 70 Blazer?
Thanks for the help guys, I could't pass up this deal. I was originally just looking for manual/cloth seats like these for the front, but for the price I paid and not having to pay for shipping; I got full power leather seats and also the bonus of 2nd and 3rd row seats to either use or sell in the future.
