Rear bumper brackets?
Is there a difference between Blazer rear bumper brackets and pickup rear brackets for a chrome bumper? Mine don't look like they will fit unless i modify them. Also what is the major difference between them? Are the Blazer ones longer than the ones for a truck? Pics would really help.

In 71 Blazers had brackets that held the bumper to the frame, starting in 72 the frame was lengthened and the bumper bolted directly to the frame. Hope that will help you a little.

I haven't see the truck brackets to know, but the brackets under mine don't look anything like what LMC shows as the truck brackets. These look like overgrown pieces of angle iron with divots cut out where the rear body mount goes.
I'd like to know a definitive answer to this as well. One of the POs welded the brackets to the frame to work with an old ghettofied hitch setup that I cut off. I didn't get to pulling those brackets off for fear of destroying them with no change for easy (read: no fabrication) replacement.

2wd brackets are different than 4wd.
