I haven't seen the "weekend progress" thread started yet....

what all did you get done? if anything?

I finished up the cab body work and got the underside of the cab painted black: started cleaning up the frame for it's paint job:
Here are some pics of the cab up on the lift (cause i know how much you all like to see pictures)

yeh yeh i'm aware of the rusty under the "cowl area" - apparently i had my eyes shut when i was spraying the etch (or just too lazy to bend over

) - I'll fix it when i paint the firewall black this weekend

Nothing like an "what i started with" picture for us all to get a laugh out of

(ugh all the brown crap paint had to be stripped but at least i know it was done right...right down to the metal)

You are definately getting more work done than I am. Not being a critic here, but since you stripped that cab down that far, I would suggest removing the glass before painting the cab. You will have to spend another $80 for rubbers, but the paint job will turn out much like you want it to, and the new rubbers will look great with the fresh paint.

I'll be taking the glass out....the problem is that the truck has to go outside during the week - so i don't want to take the glass out till i have to. I just put a tarp over it to keep the water from directly hitting the Primer

the w/s is cracked anyway and i want to "film tint" the back window
the vent glass...i don't know yet...they look like a PITA to take out..but i might as well.

Nice work on the cab. I finally got my engine sitting on the frame for good. Made trans crossmember and ran all the new brakelines this weekend. 17 months down and a lot more to go LOL
