New clip of my truck
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9wUic4QIlI
Took a short clip to test a new camera; I could certainly get away with mounting this new camera farther forward! Anyway, it shows the exhaust note fairly well, and there aren't that many clips of inlines sixes that have that kind of "diesel-like" (for lack of a better word) bass-heavy sound to them (although the question comes up fairly frequently), so I thought I'd post it up until I get a better one. |

Re: New clip of my truck
Thanks for posting that clip! That is very cool and I enjoyed the ride along. I like the camera in the back window, and you actually get to see what is going on in the cab, but yours has a much wider angle than what my cheap little Chinese camera captures. What kind of camera did you go with?
The sound effects remind me a lot of what my truck sounded like when I first got it, although mine was a 5 cylinder 305 V6 with the SM420 granny box. I really enjoy the music created by those of industrial transmissions!

Re: New clip of my truck
Glad you liked it, Mark. The six cylinder and howling HD truck trans do have that kind of "old truck" sound to them.
The camera is a GoPro "Hero3". I didn't buy it myself, but it seems pretty neat! (first camera like this I've had) I think they are about $200 or something? The angle of view really surprised me, too. Still need to play around with it and see what else it does... |

Re: New clip of my truck
Very neat video man! I left a comment on the video on youtube and subscribed. I'm running flowmaster 40 series on my 292 and when it goes above 3000 rpm..it gets loud and angry.

Re: New clip of my truck
Glad you liked it, I replied back to you BTW. I know this little 250 got pretty loud and angry-sounding at high speed the one time I went around the block with nothing coming off the manifold!
