Re: cup holder

.

I’ve got the ashtray cup holders. Mine are too shallow. The cup only dips down into the holder an inch or inch and a half…this causes the cup to tip easily…way too easily.

Never use them.

Any pics of this with a cup in it? Will the cup/can stay sturdy in it on the road? Looks like a good idea if the drinks won't spill

Thanks for posting this. Have been looking for a mechanism that will fit the width of the OEM ash tray. 3 others have been purchased that did not fit.

Edit- Fixed pic for you.

Re: cup holder

On my 72 the P.O. left one of those Plug & Chug types in the truck (https://www.cjponyparts.com/classic-...1924&year=1973), can't believe they cost this much

I just mounted it so the part that would plug into ashtray was centered under front seat just exposing the cup holder part using 2 sheet metal bolts into seat frame.

It was easy to access and out of the way

Re: cup holder

The AC controller is from a Lincoln Mark VII, but not the cup holder.

Beware this will not work with a factory 4 speed floor shifter
I couldn't get link to work and didn't find a pop out cup holder on the Holly site. Did anyone get that link to work?

Hope we hear back from him. The cup holder arrived today. Waiting on an ashtray purchased on the parts board to cannibalize. Will post in my build thread when I do the mod. I will figure something out.

Re: cup holder

Old Air Products used to carry one like the Toyota one. I have it in my truck and it works great with the original ashtray faceplate on it.

I found Toyota PN 55620 35050

Might try this out and see how it works.

I decided to take the task on myself as the guy that posted installed his hasnt answered back on how. If the adapter bracket works I will post up about it. The prototype has worked but he is now dialing it in. I will post up picks once done and if someone wants one made a link to it.
