Valve covers ?
Just got new to me Crome valve covers.installed them for the life of me I can't remember does oil filler breather go on drivers side front and vacum hose to carb go on rear passenger side thanks for input

They will function either way, but from what I've seen the PCV valve is on the drivers side front and the Oil fill / breather is on the pasengers side rear.

You would think the oil fill to the front of the engine no matter which side it is on.
You would also think that it would be on the front drivers side so it would not possibly be blocked by the AC compressor. But on my 70 GMC with a 350 it is on the drivers side by the brake booster and the PCV is in the front on the drivers side.

Just to be logical, on a small block I'd put the oil fill on the driver's side and on a small block I'd put it on the passenger side.
Why walk around to get to the dipstick? Might as well have the oil fill and dipstick on the same side.
