6 speed tranny question

i wasnt sure weather to ask this here or in the drivetrain forum but ima try this first.

okay, what im wondering is does anybody make a 6 speed manual with granny frist and double overdrive? like 4th being the direct drive gear and the other two being overdrives. basically a sm465 with 2 more gears. does it exist?

Nope, it would have to be a granny 1st and single overdrive like an NV5600 or a car type 1st and double overdrive like a T56.

However, you might be able to bolt up a Gear Vendors OD to an NV4500.

I think you are looking at a med duty truck trans for that kind of set up.

These are going to be LARGE case units with twin counter shafts, and they aren't even double OD. Not very suitable for swapping into many light truck applications, but anything can be had with money.
