Boyd Fuel tank

Has any body installed a side fill fuel tank lately?

I purchased a tank from them a few years ago, and I have always had problems filling it with fuel. I am sure the problem is a venting issue, all I had for a vent was 1/4 vent with the roller over valve.

So I was looking at the fuel tanks on his website and I see that he added a big fuel vent right next to the filler tube. I emailed them about it to see if other people were having problems with filling and never heard anything back from them.

Just this week I took out the roll over valve and put a 5/8 fitting and 5/8 hose for venting. Hopefully I can fill the fuel tank easier now.

Re: Boyd Fuel tank

I just got one this past week. In the process of getting everything together to install it but I can say it most definitely has a vent right next to the fill like the picture you posted.
