Update to T5 box or 700R Auto?
My 69 has the original 350 and 3 speed which has been converted to floor change.
The 3 speed has lousy mileage and jams between gears (1st, 2nd or reverse) when stopped at lights which is driving me nuts! I was going to convert to 700R but a T5 5speed O/Drive out of a 96 Camaro has come up. Is the T5 an easy swap, any one done this swap or should I stay with converting to the 700R? Thanks for any advice. |

Truck is my daily driver, undecided in manual or auto. The driver in me prefers manual, the lazy me likes auto

Thanks LockDoc, all the info I needed.
Now all I have to do is decide if it will survive my occasional lead foot? |

The ax-15 is not common here so almost impossible to find.
Will just have to keep looking and make the 3 speed last a little longer! Thanks guy's. |

I don't know if the Toyota Supra Turbo, R154 5 speed would be any easier to find but it is the same transmission. LockDoc
