Porterbuilt crossmember trick

I installed a Porterbuilt crossmember and tubular trailing arms on my truck 4 or 5 months ago, and thought I would share a little trick I came up with. Installing these arms with the spacers can be a little tough, because everything is really tight, and when you add paint or powdercoating, it gets tighter. I made a spreader out of a short piece of 1/2-13 threaded rod with 2 washers and nuts. I put them in one of the holes you are not using, and spread the brackets out a bit to make the install easy, drop your bolts through, then remove the spreader. Piece of cake, and no messed up powdercoating from spreading it out.

I know, things like this usually come after you need them. I think Nate at Porterbuilt should throw a set in when you buy them! Just a thought.
