billet grille on a 77 blazer

Hey guys, I have a 77 2wd blazer that i am about to get on the road, and I am wanting to put a billet grille on it...I am just wondering what to do about the hood latch assembly? Any ideas? Thanks

I left it in. You can get to it with you fingers to pop it..

Or change your hood latch to the later style 79/80 with the cable pull. I do think you have to change the upper section of the core support too though.

all I know is it's tough to get my bear claws through the tube grill on my 75 to reach the latch. There is no way I could do that with a billet grill!

I think I'd be more interested in changing it to a later model's to where I can have the hood open from inside of the cab, and I'd have a little more peace of mind knowing not just any guy could walk by and pop my hood. What would I need to do that? I wouldnt have to change the whole radiator support would I?

By the way, that's a sweet looking blazer...how much is it lowered? I got the belltech 3 inch spindles in the front and am using shackles/drop blocks for 4 inches lowered in the rear.

That pic is about 4 years old, at that time I had belltech 3 inch spindles with 2 inch springs, the back was flipped with 94 4x4 full size Blazer leaf springs.

At this time I am putting air on. take a look at my thread..
