K5 Blazer Fiberglass top mounting bolt size

Any body know what the bolt size is to mount the fiberglass top? Just picked up a cap today for $40 bucks for the new project. I have not seen these for sale anywhere after market

Not offhand, 3/8 maybe. I grabbed some from Ace, same size & thread as the bolts that came out. The factory bolt is tapered, almost like a screw, which makes lining up the hole & retainer simple. The Ace bolts are a PITA to get in.

Re: K5 Blazer Fiberglass top mounting bolt size

I got a bunch of spare bolts in the junk yard this weekend but don't have a tap and die to measure. Most everything you find now hasn't been shiny in a long time. Seems like they'd be reproduced by now.

5/16 ,COURSE THREAD X 1" LONG along the sides
The ones on the windshield brackets are 5/16 course but 3/4" long with washers.
Did you get the long aluminum flat braces that go along the inside?
These are for a 73-75 full convert. top

Re: K5 Blazer Fiberglass top mounting bolt size

nice score for $40.
the later roof, those front bolts are longer then 1" might be even 3"
i turn the bolts backwards till i feel them slip,to line up,thread in
the sides, reach under the edge, finger in the hole, slide it around till you see it from the top
and make sure the rear window channels/rubber are lined up before screwing

The ones on the bedrails are 5/16 - 18 x 1" and the ones for the Cab are 5/16 - 18 x 2 3/4" not 3/4".
