Magnaflow

My flowmasters have decided to rust everything behind them and dispose of their baffles, so it's time for a new exhaust. The one place in town that builds aluminized mandrel bent exhausts pretty much only sells Magnaflow. Are they good mufflers? Any idea on how they sound on a motor that's not really built up? I have heard good things about them though. Also, what did you guys pay for a full exhuast, preferably aluminized. Thanks in advance.

Magnaflows sound really nice and deep when you stomp on the gas, not raspy like Flows. I think you will like them.

Really? I didn't know. I have heard they are the "new flows" but I wasn't sold on them. I have always loved Flows....

so you are saying they sound better than flows? I member with my old 2 chamber flows, at idle in drive, I would set off alarm systems...LOVED IT

Not saying necessarily better , just a different less racey sound. Not as tinney. Peregrine you should go to the shop and listen to a similar motor as yours.

I will only run Magnaflows. They are stainless steel unlike Flows and flow almost 1/3 more CFM. They have more of a rumble but are still pretty loud if you have a decent flowing exhaust. They also come with a full life time warrenty - I don't know of any other mufflers that offer that...
I made 450 horse through two 3" magnaflows so they do pretty well.
Good luck.

I'm planning on running them with 3" exhaust. I've heard nothing but good about them.

I would go to the shop, but they don't have many small-block powered cars laying around, mostly imports. But they do the best work in town on any car you can think of. I just might have to get some put on, I don't like my flows at all. ugh

Only against explosion. Not against rust.
