Drop leaf springs?
Anyone know where to get drop leaf springs for the rear of a C20 Chevy/GMC?Been looking at the main parts carriers and haven't found anything. Apologies if this has been covered.
I found one site called Tuckers that supposedly has them for a 66-72, but I'm curious if they really mean 67-72, as I can't imagine 66 was unique and its suspension fell into the later model category. Only really trying to go 2-3" max. Not going for a lower rider. I have 3" drops in the front and want to reduce the rake slightly (but still keep it a bit). Additionally, back when it was running I always had nasty rear hop on hard acceleration. Anything I can do to help reduce that. Traditionally I'd use ladder bars, but seeing as how the leafs sit ON the rear rather than under it, that doesn't seem like it will work. Not going for a full on drag setup necessarily, but would like it to stay planted and not bounce around. Thanks all! |

Re: Drop leaf springs?
you can buy a flip kit that moves the axle above the spring pack, its cheap and will lower the rear 3-5". If you are set on lowering leafs, any semi truck shop should be able to dearch the factory pack a little
