So my truck is a 69 gmc 3/4 ton with a 396 and a th400. What is the easiest conversion as far as transmission? 700r4?

Can't remember if the 400 was shorter than the 350 or not, but I think it was. When I put my 700 in, it was a straight shot as I had a 9" tailshaft 350. Just had to change tranny mounts and go. Hopefully someone else has swapped a 400 out and will give you more info.
