I agree...just run caps for awhile while you take your time on the wheel size and type question.

Re: Just needing some wheels now

Thanks for the replies. Looking at billet specialties mag g. Really like the roadster shop truck. Probably 20" in rear and 18 or 19 in front. Anyone have width and back spacing ideas? Pictures?

Love the stance. New, big wheels would look awesome.

Without going new wheels, I'd get caps and turn the white wall in. Either way, nice truck!

I have some 15x8 and 15x7 truck rally wheels. Might see what they look like?

Re: Just needing some wheels now

I'd put a set of COPO caps on it.....that's what they're called. Anyway, they were just the hubcaps that '68-72 Novas, Camaros, and Chevelle's had on 'em. I have a set good enough for a daily driver, but not good enough (overall) for a showcar/truck. Throw a set of trim rings on there, too.

Re: Just needing some wheels now

Truck looks great. Personally I'm not much on staggered wheel sizes with the exception of a 20/22 combo on a low truck. Check out page 15 on my build thread for the specs I used on my 20" Vistas on my 69 with 4.5/6" drop.

Do you have any rubbing or turning issues with that wheel tire combo? Thanks!

Re: Just needing some wheels now

I love steelies.. nothing against them on the right truck. (Door logo, port-a-walls, a little rust, etc.) .. but honestly man your truck is begging for billets IMO. I know your work, I have seen your other cars.. Billets would send this truck into the stratosphere. $5k investment = $7k additional value if you ever have to sell it.

If you're going to drive it every day, or haul mulch and gravel in it .. well maybe not but I'm under the impression this is not your plan for it.

I'm a huge fan of Billet Specialties. Something like the Bonneville or .. (?)
http://www.billetspecialties.com/whe...es/bonneville/

Again, nothing against steelies and caps. I have had them on a 68 myself.
